CBS has pushed back resumption of production on numerous high-profile procedural dramas including “NCIS,” “NCIS: LA,” “Seal Team” and “Why Women Kill”.
These productions will now resume on January 11th while other shows on the network are scheduled to restart later in January.
CBS Studios is seemingly the only major studio hub pausing or delaying production amid the current coronavirus pandemic.
Others – including Netflix, NBCUniversal and Warner Bros. Television Group – are reportedly in the process of figuring out whether to keep productions active in the new year.
Despite safety protocols, several productions have recorded clusters of positive COVID-19 cases in the last few months.
