Abi Franklin (Sally Carman) is left fuming at Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) in Coronation Street, after he takes away the morphine she acquired from the hospital.
After Abi suffered an accident at the garage in last Wednesday’s episode (August 19) — which saw a car engine fall on her arm — she was taken to hospital.
In Friday’s episode (August 21), Seb (Harry Visinoni) was forced to reveal that her kids, Charlie and Lexie, had left for Australia.
Abi therefore had missed her chance to say goodbye, and — heartbroken — she hopped out of bed and stole morphine from the medicine trolley.
However, Peter had witnessed the whole thing.
In tonight’s episode (August 24), Abi rests on the sofa, and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) heads off for work.
After he exits, Abi knocks back a drink, but Peter soon shows up.
Abi stuffs the morphine down the side the sofa and, when he questions her about what he witnessed in the previous episode, she insists that she didn’t take anything from the hospital.
Peter is seemingly satisfied with what Abi has to say, and therefore leaves, but after he’s gone, Abi comes to realise that her morphine has vanished.
An infuriated Abi then heads round to have it out with Peter in the Rovers backyard.
Will conflict ensue?
What will Abi have to say for herself?
What will Peter, for that matter?
Coronation Street continues Monday August 24 at 7:30pm on ITV.
