Jennifer Garner, Tyrel Jackson Williams and Zoe Chao have scored series regular roles while James Marsden has signed on for a key recurring role in the revival of Starz’s cult comedy “Party Down”.
The quartet join original stars Adam Scott, Jane Lynch, Ken Marino, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen and Megan Mullally who are all returning for the six-episode new season.
Like the original, this follows a Los Angeles catering team – a sextet of Hollywood wannabes (Scott, Lynch, Marino, Starr, Hansen, Mullally) stuck working for tips while hoping for their ‘big break’ as each episode revolves around a new event.
Garner plays a successful studio film producer reconsidering her life choices after a breakup. Williams plays a confident wannabe influencer. Chao will play free-thinking creative food artist. Marsden will play Jack Botty, an attention-seeking actor who plays the lead in a popular superhero franchise.
The revival is executive produced by Rob Thomas, John Enbom, Paul Rudd, Dan Etheridge and Scott with Enbom serving as showrunner.
