ABC Signature has released the first teaser and set a March 26th premiere date on Disney+ for “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers,” the series continuation of the hockey family franchise.
The ten-episode series stars “Gilmore Girls” alum Lauren Graham, Brady Noon and Emilio Estevez reprising his role as Coach Gordon Bombay. Set in present-day Minnesota, the series sees the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive powerhouse.
After twelve-year-old Evan Morrow (Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom, Alex (Graham), set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of today’s youth sports.
Steve Brill, creator, writer and executive producer of all the films co-created and executive produces the new series along with showrunners Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa.
