Production for Season 3 of ‘s The Umbrella Academy is expected , an announcement in a new release made all the more exciting by the further news that the show has made several casting announcements as well. The next season will finally dig into who the other members of the Sparrow Academy are, and Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Genesis Rodriguez, and Cazzie David have joined the cast to fill those roles.

Here’s a quick breakdown on each of their roles: Cornwell (I Am the Night) will play Marcus, aka Sparrow No. 1, who is described as “charming, chiseled, and a colossus… Marcus is disciplined, rational and in control. He oozes confidence and leadership without ever having to raise his voice.” Oldford (Hunters) will play Fei, aka Sparrow No. 3, who “comes across as a misanthrope who would rather be alone than spend even a second with you.”

Epstein (Designated Survivor) will play Alphonso, aka Sparrow No. 4, who “is armed with a caustic and biting sense of humor. The only thing he likes better than verbally battering anyone foolish enough to get in his face, is a good pizza and a six-pack of beer.” Rodriguez (Big Hero 6) will play Sloane, aka Sparrow No. 5, a “romantic and a dreamer who feels a higher cosmic calling leaving her eager to see the world and experience a life beyond her upbringing.” Finally, David (86’ed) will play Jayme, aka Sparrow No. 6, “a loner hidden under a hoodie. She doesn’t say much because she doesn’t have to.”

These newcomers join Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, Adam Godley, and Colm Feore–who are all set to reprise their respective roles in the upcoming season.

The series takes place in a world where 43 women gave birth at the exact same time in 1989–even though none of them showed any signs of being pregnant. Reginald Hargreeves adopted seven of them and made them into a superhero team. In present day, the long-estranged siblings are brought back together after their adopted father has died.

Season 3 will consist of 10 one-hour episodes and will see the return of Steve Blackman as showrunner and executive producer. He’ll be joined by Jeff F. King, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, and Jesse McKeown as executive producers.
