Hulu has confirmed their recent “Only Murders in the Building” was a the streamer’s biggest comedy hit… by a lot.
Speaking with Vulture, Hulu Originals president Craig Erwich says the half-hour comedy-mystery series was “the most-watched comedy ever on Hulu, by a good measure”. That metric reportedly includes individual seasons of library content as well as next-day streams of network series.
Nielsen’s weekly streaming top ten has listed the series since it premiered in late August and Hulu has confirmed it also picked up viewership every week as the audience built.
Not only is it a big hit with audiences, the critics love it too with the show scoring a 76 critics and 9.6 audience score on Metacritic, while at Rotten Tomatoes it sits on 100%.
A second season has not only already been ordered but filming on the new run will kick off next month.
