Pet Semetary
Jack Mulhern (“Mare of Easttown”), Forrest Goodluck (“The Revenant”), Natalie Alyn Lind (“Big Sky”) and newcomer Isabella Star LaBlanc have joined the new “Pet Sematary” prequel film from Paramount Players which begins filming in August.
Set to stream exclusively on Paramount+, Lindsey Beer will direct from a script she wrote based on a draft by Jeff Buhler. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian will produce. [Source: THR]

Netflix and Shonda Rhimes are extending their creative relationship beyond television to feature films, gaming and virtual reality content with her Shondaland Media label set to exclusively produce, stream and distribute with the streamer. [Source: Variety]
Misha Green
Apple TV+ has signed a lucrative overall and multi-year deal with “Lovecraft Country” showrunner Misha Green, allowing her to develop original films and television series for the streamer following HBO Max opting not to renew ‘Lovecraft’ for a second round. Nightmare Alley
Guillermo del Toro’s forthcoming horror film “Nightmare Alley” has officially been given an R-rating for “strong/bloody violence, some sexual content, nudity, and language”. Searchlight is scheduled to release the film in theaters on December 3rd.
Bradley Cooper plays an ambitious young carny with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is. Netflix has reportedly acquired the global rights to Toby Meakins’ horror thriller “Curs>r” starring Asa Butterfield, Iola Evans and Eddie Marsan. Filming wrapped in the U.K. in April.
Evans plays a young woman who plays an obscure, 1980s survival computer game in pursuit of an unclaimed prize. But the game curses her, and she’s faced with dangerous choices and reality-warping challenges which could take her life. [Source: Variety]
