Real Madrid are willing to “listen to any offers” for former Chelsea star Eden Hazard this summer, according to reports.

Hazard made the move to Madrid after playing over 350 times for Chelsea between 2012 and 2019. He got 110 goals and 92 assists for the Blues in that time. He won the PFA Players’ Player of the Year in 2014/15.

The Belgian international had long been linked with a move to Real Madrid. This move finally came to fruition in June 2019 as he signed for Madrid for around £90m.

Hazard has struggled with injuries since his big-money transfer. He has only scored four times from his 40 outings across all competitions.

The forward made his return to Stamford Bridge on Wednesday. He was subbed off late on as Madrid lost 3-1 to Chelsea on aggregate.

Hazard was seen laughing with some of his former teammates at full-time. Spanish outlet Marca have reported that this has had no bearing on his status at the club. Talks have been ongoing for him to leave for the past few weeks.

They add that Madrid have “reached a limit” with the player and they are now looking to sell him. It is also said that they will “listen to any offers” for him.

Madrid are still yet to pay the full £90m to Chelsea. It is understood that Hazard will be able to leave for a cut price.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has heaped praise on Cesar Azpilicueta:

“He’s a huge, huge factor; a key factor and a key player for me at this club.

“He, for me, expresses everything that I think is typical for Chelsea: he’s a fighter, he’s a team player, he does not accept limits, he’s always available, a top, top professional and at the same time a very nice guy.

“It’s deep within him to be a team player, he’s very self-aware, very self-reflective and it’s a pure pleasure to have him in the group.

“It was like this from the first moment; we had a strong connection from the first moment.

“I met a very honest and very open young man, who is so super-reliable on the pitch and who leaves his heart out there on the pitch every time he steps on the pitch for us.

“As a captain he’s a true leader, in his personal way that suits his characteristics.

“And we’re very happy that he plays all the time because he deserves to play all the time.

“He’s a key factor, with his mentality, mindset and his ambition.”
