Rose urges Premier League bosses to help English clubs out in Champions League

Tottenham defender Danny Rose has called on the Premier League to help English teams out in their bids to win the Champions League this season. Spurs and Liverpool are the last two home clubs standing in the European Cup as they take on Ajax and Barcelona respectively, but the semi-finals take place at the same time as the league season is reaching its conclusion. We want to bring the Champions League, obviously to Tottenham, but we want to bring it to England. “And every little could help us along the way.” With Spurs on the hunt for a maiden Champions League title and looking a good bet to secure a fourth successive top-four Premier League finish, they are continuing to establish themselves as a powerhouse of English football. The move into their incredible new stadium will surely help them take the next step, but having gone through the last two transfer windows without making a signing, Rose has urged the board to do “whatever they see fit” to make it happen. Contract talks have stalled, with his current deal expiring next summer, leading to speculation he could be sold at the end of the campaign. Boss Mauricio Pochettino revealed he is open to discussing a new deal and Rose hopes the club can persuade him to commit.
