Trident Seafoods Corp. is issuing a recall of some of its Pacific salmon burgers because they may contain small pieces of metal. The product is sold at Costco stores.

Consumption of these products may pose a choking hazard or other physical injuries, according to a recall notice from the company and posted by the Food and Drug Administration.

The implicated salmon burgers are in 3-pound packages and have the lot number GC101431 and a best-by date of “01/14/2023.”

There is concern that some of the recalled salmon burgers may be on consumers’ freezers because of the product’s long shelf life. Anyone with any of the recalled products should return it to Costco for a full refund, according to the recall notice.

As of the posting of the recall notice, there had not been any reports of injury or illness related to the recalled products

The source of the small pieces of metal hasn’t been identified yet. For additional information, please contact Trident Foods consumer affairs team, at 866-413-4749 or via email at [email protected].
