Sandra Bullock and Kelly Clarkson met for the first time as Sandra appeared on Kelly’s talkshow, and what ensued can only be described as carnage.
The two got on like a house on fire, and watching them in action makes it hard to believe they haven’t been best friends for decades, with their impeccable comedic timing and constant ribbing of one another.
The Ocean’s 8 actor, 57, and Breakaway songstress, 39, had each other in stitches as they sat down for a chat on The Kelly Clarkson Show – and no topic was off limits.
They doubled over in fits of laughter about everything from Sandra’s dead parents to Christmas decorations.
Naturally, Twitter users ate up the content, calling it the ‘best interview to ever hit TV,’ and praising the pair as ‘comedy gold.’
Kelly started off their chat by trying to keep her fangirl at bay and discuss Sandra’s latest project – The Unforgivable.
However, they quickly went off the rails and the chat descended into chaos.
Sandra even teased at one point that she ‘didn’t vote’ for Kelly during her stint on American Idol, before poking fun at her for her Wayfair partnership, which had the musician laughing so hard she could barely breathe.
Other standout moments included Kelly accidentally saying ‘that’s cool’ when Sandra mentioned that her ‘dead parents’ were opera singers.
‘That they’re dead?’ asked Sandra, before rolling around the couch in hysterics.
As if that wasn’t enough chaotic energy for one interview, at one point the Bird Box actor said to Kelly: ‘Did you just call me a whore?’ after mishearing her, to which Kelly said: ‘Honest to God it’s uncanny how close to, like, my friends you are, the things that keep coming out of your mouth.’
Not missing a single beat, Sandra replied: ‘Your friends are whores as well?’
They continued to banter back and forth, much to the delight of audience members and social media, with fans even calling for the two to star in a movie together.
‘Please someone do a movie or special feature with these 2, I want to see more!!’ one tweeted.
‘Giving Kelly Clarkson her own talkshow was the best decision anyone in Hollywood has ever made,’ said another.
Another fan added: ‘This is definitely one of the funniest interviews I’ve ever watched! Kelly is fangirling & nervous while Sandy’s quick humour is on point!’
The interview is pretty much guaranteed to brighten up your day, and we wouldn’t be opposed to an hour-long special of the two just bantering back and forth.
Sandra’s latest film – The Unforgivable – is streaming now on Netflix, where she plays a woman released from prison for a violent crime.
As she re-enters society, she must try to carve out a new life for herself in a world that refuses to forgive her past.
