Police are urgently searching for a missing schoolgirl who may have travelled 80 miles to London.

Rayah Fathallah, 12, was last seen yesterday morning, in the village of Heath and Reach, near Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire.

But it is thought she may have tried to get to Croydon in south London on a train, which she has links to.

Officers have now launched a public appeal to find her.

Rayah is described as 5ft 2 inches, of a slim build, with long black curly hair, and was last seen wearing a black coat.

Rayah was also reported as missing back in November, with police that time also suggesting she may have travelled to London.

She was found safe and well eight days later, but it is not known whether she had been in Croydon or Bedfordshire.

Yesterday the Metropolitan and Bedfordshire Police forces released an appeal which said: ‘Missing Rayah Fathallah, 12, was last seen at 7.30am today in Heath and Reach.

‘5’2’’, slim, with long black curly hair, she was wearing a black coat. She may be in Leighton Buzzard, trying to get to London.’

Anyone with information about Rayah’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police by calling 101.
