Student-Oriented Teaching Method
What is student-oriented teaching method? By definition and in the real sense, it can be defined as the practice that requires students to assume a large share of responsibility for showing inquiries, applying understanding and making meaning of what they have been taught and learned. It focuses on students in the exploration, valuations, problem-solving, and processing information.

This method of oriented teaching bring about engaging students in pair-sharing or small group discussions in which they must swift main ideas from reading, frame research projects, evaluate the accuracy and sprite of a report. In order to design a product, interpret numerical data that talks about tables, graphs and charts, students are given the freedom to showcase their ability on any subject with complete freedom through using class time to host performances and presentation of student’s original work in the field of music, drama, cinema, fashion design, painting, carving, drafting, graphics, and other creative works and allow time for formal critiques.
More so, the student-oriented teaching method entails students in implementation, planning, and assessment. Teachers must be comfortable through changing their leadership style from directive to consultative.

Students should be allowed to share in decision making: It is very important for all teachers to put students at the center of the own learning that requires collaboration. They should understand the importance of the subject, vocabulary, and skills through investing effort.
They should be given the ability to lead. Students should be given the chance to take charge of activities, even if they may not have all the content skills. They are known as education accomplished consumers. In schools, students experience math, science, English, history including other subjects.
Three features of learner(students) centered teaching
1. It engages the student in the hard, messy work of learning: this makes the teacher perform many learning tasks for students. They ask the question, calling on the students, even giving details to their answers. the review and preview are done here.
2. It includes explicit skill instruction. Here, learners are taught how to think, solve complications, assess suggestion, analyze quarrels, generate theories. It is not assumed that students just pick up all the skills on their own
3. It helps students to reflect on their learning: students are encouraged here to accept responsibilities for decisions they make about learning. The assumptions of students are challenged on how they study for exams, gave reading, assignment mechanisms in which students reflect, evaluate and critique what they are learning and how they are learning it.
In conclusion, teachers are to impart to the students with professor lecturing but should be taught in a simple, understandable and communicative manner for effective understanding.
