The 94th Academy Awards have just been handed out with “Coda” scoring the top honor of best picture along with several other awards, Jane Campion scoring best director, whilst Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” had a near clean sweep of the tech categories.

This year’s winners fell along expected lines with few surprises, the biggest shock of the ceremony being Will Smith’s aggressive slapping and word exchange with presenter Chris Rock with an uncensored version from Australian and Japanese TV now online. Smith subsequently apologised in his Best Actor speech.

The much talked about editing of live categories ended up seeing eight awards handed out resulted mostly in some odd editing choices during the broadcast. As for the fan-favorite award, that went to Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead”. Here is the full list of winners:
