An announcement trailer has been released for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge,” a new side-scrolling title that serves as a big homage to the beloved original 1989 “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” arcade game and its 1991 sequel “Turtles in Time”.
Mike Patton of Faith No More performs the new theme song for this four-player co-op which hails from publisher Dotemu and game developer Tribute Games.
In the game, Bebop and Rocksteady are amassing gizmos to support Krang and Shredder’s latest scheme. The turtles battle through a tour of iconic TMNT locations to thwart their nemeses’ new plan.
Armed with “shell-shocking new abilities built on a foundation of classic brawling mechanics,” the gang stomp the Foot Clan through the sewers and bustling boroughs of New York City all the way to Dimension X.
The title is coming to PC and consoles, but no date has yet been set.
