Trailer Dave Franco In The Now
The Roku Channel

A year ago the infamously short-lived short-form streaming service Quibi shuttered it doors. That left not only a library of already aired content, but also some produced titles that hadn’t been released, all in limbo.

Of course we know Roku picked up that library earlier this year and now one of those series that never made it to screens – the Farrelly Brothers-directed ‘suicide comedy’ series “The Now” – is finally arriving. In fact, it’s out now.

The original series has just debuted on The Roku Channel and features the likes of Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Jimmy Tatro, Daryl Hannah, Pete Davidson, Alyssa Milano and Bill Murray.

Franco plays a man who, in the middle of a suicide attempt, learns that his brother killed himself. The life-altering event sees Ed rethinking his outlook and learning how best to cherish his present by going after what he wants in life.

Peter and Bobby Farrelly pen and direct the black comedy, which comes in fourteen episodes of around ten minutes each and is available in full for viewers of The Roku Channel in the US, Canada, and the UK.
