Roadside Attractions has premiered the trailer for “Dead Calm” and “The Quiet American” director Phil Noyce’s new thriller “The Desperate Hour”.
The story unfolds in real-time with Naomi Watts starring as a recently widowed mother trying to restore normalcy to the lives of her young daughter and teenage son in their small town.
Whilst out on a jog in the woods, she learns the town is in chaos with a shooting having just taken place at her son’s school. Miles away in dense forest with no car, she sets on foot in a desperate race against time to save her son.
Colton Gobbo and Sierra Maltby co-star in the film which premiered in Toronto last year under the title “Lakewood”. Now called “The Desperate Hour,” it hits cinemas and on-demand on February 25th.
