Finally, we must develop an idea, of dilution of the paint with water, to get a desired effect in our watercolor painting. If we dilute the paint to greater amount the resulting effect would be a dull watercolor painting, with little life in it.
Furthermore, watercolor painting is more popular with children, because it is very easy to remove the watercolor from their hands and cloth. Watercolors as the name suggests are easily diluted in water and do not cause many hassles in removal, even from the paint brushes. On the other hand, this property of watercolor is very disturbing, as it renders the watercolor painting open to water damage at any time.
Thus, watercolor paintings are kept with great caution, unfortunately in places where there would be minimal chances of water damage. Watercolor painting is easy to learn and even easier to practice, as the materials are readily available in the market at cheaper rates than the ones used for oil painting or acrylic painting.
