15 Actually Worthwhile Early Black Friday Deals on Kitchen and Home Items

It’s been a tumultuous year, to say the least, and many of us have uprooted our lives to be closer to family, downsize, or just strike out on our own without roommates. Others are still sheltering in place at the same apartment they’ve been holed up in since March, but may be hunting for investments that can add something to their well-trodden spaces: organization, ergonomics, and other techie upgrades, perhaps.

Thankfully, for anyone hunting for deals on home goods, it’s the one time of year when prices on appliances and home tech drop to the lowest we’ll see them all year—otherwise known as Black Friday. Lots of Black Friday deals on kitchen and home goods started early, but there are plenty more which dropped this morning that can help you shop the things you need without throwing your budget out the window.

We’re here to help by singling out some of the best Black Friday kitchen and home deals going on through the Cyber Weekend, along with where to find specific types of home items (like the best savings on meal-prep tools or some discounts on appliances for new homes, like washers and dryers). We’d suggest bookmarking this page, as we will be refreshing it with more Black Friday home and kitchen deals as we spot them. Sur La Table

Any food lover who’s looking to make some really smart investments for the home and kitchen should go straight to Sur La Table’s sale first. Why? It’s got all the chef-beloved kitchen appliances and tools in one place, from Vitamixes to sous vides and heritage cookware, plus Zwilling kitchen knives. You’re looking at more than $100 off in many cases, which is hard to argue against, and these great deals which will potentially be less of a scramble to secure than an Amazon lightning deal. 

Amazon

Speaking of lightning deals, Amazon Black Friday deals are coveted every year, since it’s typically a free-for-all of specials across categories. Today is no exception: Lots of Amazon devices are on sale, including the retailer’s Ring security camera, and many giftable tech items, from the Kindle to the Amazon Echo family. There are also lots of lightning deals on Roombas and kitchen appliances to go around for early birds, along with daily deals on Vitamixes and Instant Pots while they last. 

Nordstrom

Nordstrom’s Black Friday sale has an amazing variety of deals on home, kitchen, and bedding items (one of the best that we’ve seen so far), considering that you can take home a discounted Staub, Casper weighted blanket, Bose speaker, and Moccamaster coffeemaker all from one place. It runs through December 1, but things have already started selling out, so hurry, hurry.

Walmart

Walmart’s the place to shop for Black Friday if you want to make some small but impactful home upgrades. Take this deal on a compact dryer, which is great for any small apartment dweller who wants the full washer-dryer experience (a luxury). Walmart is also offering a bevy of discounts on small home tech appliances that can help you relax: Perhaps you want a robot vacuum that can do the cleaning while you work from home, or a pressure cooker that you can set and forget until dinnertime. 

Food 52

Food 52, one of our absolute favorite places to shop for gifts, is having a 20% off sale on all purchases over $100 with the code YAY20 when you shop before November 29 (this includes even new Five Two branded products). The brand will also be offering special “Daily Deals” on many items excluded from the sitewide discounts. We’d suggest either of these lookers for gifts this year.

Vitamix 

Don’t miss Vitamix’s big Cyber Week sale on their professional-grade blenders, which ends at midnight EST on November 30. They have a stellar reputation for a reason (hence the steep price point) but might be a little easier to stomach with these specials.

Caraway 

If you’ve been saving up to spend on some cooking sets, Caraway’s colorful nonstick ceramic cookware is on sale on a tiered system: Take 10% off orders $225 and over, 15% off orders over $450, and 20% off orders over $525. 

Fellow 

Fellow, the coffee brand that’s famous for its stylish goose neck kettles, is having its biggest sale of the year with 20% off everything except the brand’s new Ode coffee grinder. We’d suggest their vacuum sealed containers and delightful kettles as gifts for anyone who could use some kitchen upgrades. 

The Container Store

From now until November 29, members of the Container Store’s Pop! program (which offers special rewards, receipt-free returns, and special shopping days) can take 25% off a single item, so it’s a great time to shop any pricey storage solutions you’ve been eyeing. 

Snowe Home

Snowe Home is one of those places where you splurge on nice bedding and housewares you’ll have for years (which is why they’ve been a fixture in our gift guides). Just in time for the holidays, you can take 20% off orders over $100 at Snowe Home’s sitewide sale until Cyber Monday, including dinnerware, drink bundles, diffusers, and bedding. 

Target

Target’s Black Friday deals include steals on Dyson vacuums, Instant Pots, Keurigs, and Nespresso espresso machines—plus new TVs and printers. It’s an excellent time to stock up if you’ve just moved into a new home or are simply looking to buy something fancy. 

Zwilling

Save up to 75% off Zwilling J.A. Henckels foodie-beloved knife sets, Staub cast-iron cocottes, and more at Zwilling’s Black Friday sale, which kicked off this week. 

Tushy

This bidet is beloved by at least two of our editors (read more here about why), and is a perfect no-frills model for anyone who’s looking to dip a toe in. If this one’s not your style, we’ve also rounded up a range of best-selling bidets that might suit you better. 

Brava

Brava is known for its portable, smartphone-controlled cooking tech devices that make it easier and faster to make perfectly cooked poached eggs or steak (among other things) every time. Because these all-inclusive tools are so savvy, though, they come with a high price point, so its Black Friday sale is a good opportunity to go in on one. Today all the way through December 1, take $100 off the Brava Starter Set, $200 off the Brava Bake and Breakfast Set, and $300 off the Brava Chef’s Choice Set. 

Bed, Bath, and Beyond

An oldie, but a goodie, Bed Bath & Beyond is offering deals on deals for Black Friday: Lots of items, like Shark Navigator vacuums, and Ninja Foodi pressure cookers, are already on sale, and you can add to that a 20% off offer on your entire online purchase.

Best Buy 

People look to Best Buy for their Black Friday tech deals—the retailer is one of the most reliable places for sourcing discounts on laptops, speakers, and TVs—but the home and kitchen deals aren’t bad either. Best Buy is offering a range of discounts for Black Friday, including short-lived daily deals on individual items like Keurig coffee makers. We’d suggest shopping Best Buy for the smart home deals (you’ll find some great discounts on Wi-Fi-enabled home security and thermostat systems) or big ticket appliances like refrigerators and washer/dryer combos.

Danish-inspired brand HAY sells some of the most delightful kitchen and home items for maximalists who love adding splashes of color to their design schemes, and they’re having a 20% off sale from now until December 1. Look here for little home trinkets that are almost guaranteed to spark joy.

Open Spaces
