2021 among deadliest years for gun violence in decades as violent crime surges

According to the Gun Violence Archive, more than 20,000 people have been killed this year alone from gun violence. The White House announced a new strategy to combat gun violence that includes a “zero tolerance” policy for gun dealers and deploying strike teams to cities to crack down on illegal gun trafficking.
