Manchester United star Andreas Pereira is in talks to leave the club after losing his starting berth at Old Trafford.

The Brazilian was a regular in the first half of the season but the arrival of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon, as well as the return of Paul Pogba from injury, has limited Pereira’s appearances.

The midfielder made just two substitute appearances in the Premier League since the competition restarted and he only managed 26 minutes in the Europa League against LASK, despite United having a five-goal aggregate lead.

That’s convinced Pereira that he needs to leave Old Trafford for regular first team football and Esporte Interativo claim the midfielder is now in the process of ‘leaving’ the club.

Despite his struggles for game time, Solskjaer tried to convince Pereira to stay and assured the midfielder that there was a place for him at the club.

However, Pereira has already bided his time for a shot at the Theatre of Dreams and it would seem he’s unwilling to take a step back after breaking into the side in 2019.

Valencia, Pereira’s former club, are said to be interested, while a raft of Spanish and Portuguese sides have also made offers.

It’s unclear what United’s valuation of Pereira is but the Red Devils could do with every extra penny as they target a deal for Dortmund superstar Jadon Sancho.

The Germans want £108million for the England winger but United are unwilling to stretch that far and are desperate trying to negotiate a lower fee for the former Manchester City ace.

United are also keen on a midfielder and central defender this summer but they will have to recoup funds through player sales.
