Cowboy Bebop Anime Will Be Available On Netflix This Month

The classic anime series Cowboy Bebop will be released by Netflix later this month. The streaming giant has announced that all 26 episodes of the show will be available from October 21.

Cowboy Bebop was created by director Shinichirō Watanabe and follows the adventures of a gang of intergalactic bounty hunters who travel through space in their ship the Bebop. It premiered in Japan in 1998 and was first shown in the US in 2011, on Cartoon Network’s late-night programming block Adult Swim. Check out a new teaser for the show’s release on Netflix:

The release of the anime series on Netflix will be followed by the highly anticipated live-action adaptation, which arrives on November 19. The show stars John Cho (Searching) as bounty hunter Spike Spiegel, Mustafa Shakir (Luke Cage) as the Bebop’s captain Jet Black, Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom) as amnesiac bounty hunter Faye Valentine, and Alex Hassell (The Boys) as hitman Vicious.

While we’re yet to see a trailer for the live-action Cowboy Bebop, the extremely stylish opening sequence was recently revealed during Netflix’s virtual fan event Tudum. You can also check out the first images from the show here.

Cowboy Bebop isn’t the only much-loved anime show getting a live-action remake at Netflix. It was recently reported that work has started on the scripts for the adaptation of the hugely popular One Piece.
