CW Ditches “Wonder Girl” Series Plans

The CW has abandoned its plans for a series adaptation of the DC Comics property “Wonder Girl”.

In a tweet this weekend, writer/executive producer Dailyn Rodriguez (“Queen of the South”) confirmed the network wasn’t picking up the show and she “was very proud of the script I wrote. Wish I could’ve shared the world I created, but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be.”

“Supergirl” and “The Flash” producer Greg Berlanti had been on board to executive produce. the one-hour drama centered on Latina Dreamer Yara Flor, born to an Amazonian warrior and Brazilian river god.

Sarah Schechter and David Madden had also been set to produce for Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
