Disney Delays “King’s Man,” “Bob’s Burgers”

The house of cards that is the 2021 film release schedule continues to tumble in the wake of the mass exodus yesterday of multiple films to the back half of 2021 or early 2022.

Various films from the Disney-owned 20th Century Studios are on the move with “The King’s Man,” the WW1-set prequel to the “Kingsman” franchise, being pushed back five months to August 20th.

In addition, the animated “Bob’s Burgers” movie which was dated for April 9th has been removed from the schedule altogether. Another animated film, “Ron’s Gone Wrong,” has been delayed six months and will now hit October 22nd.

These delays leave only a handful of key titles still in play before July including “Black Widow,” “F9: The Fast Saga,” “A Quiet Place II,” “Free Guy,” “Chaos Walking” and “Cruella”. Will it be enough to keep theater chains like AMC and Regal afloat?
