Dominik’s “Blonde” To Remain Intact

Warner Bros. Pictures

“The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford” and “Chopper” director Andrew Dominik’s Marilyn Monroe biopic “Blonde” for Netflix will reportedly keep his director’s cut intact according to World of Reel (via Slashfilm).

“Knives Out” lead and “No Time to Die” scene stealer Ana de Armas plays Monroe in the film with a report a while back suggesting the streamer was uncomfortable with some of the explicitness of the film including a graphic assault scene.

Author Joyce Carol Oates however, who penned the book upon which the film is based, has seen the film and has tweeted out a reaction stating she’s extremely happy with Dominik’s “exquisite portrait” of Monroe.

The film is expected to hit Netflix sometime in 2022.
