Disney Animation announced several film releases at the company’s investor conference today starting with the teaser trailer for “Encanto,” the Colombia-set original feature due for release November 24th 2021.
Hailing from “Zootopia” directors Byron Howard and Jared Bush, and co-written and co-directed by Charise Castro Smith, the tale follows Colombian girl who is part of a magical family though lacks magical powers herself.
The project will be Disney Animation’s 60th feature film and will feature music written by Lin-Manuel Miranda. No cast is announced yet.
