Paul Ashdale (Reece Dinsdale) reveals his gambling secret to Mandy (Lisa Riley) in Emmerdale tonight (January 19).
Pul was taken aback in last night’s edition of the ITV soap when Mandy proposed to him during a full-on musical-inspired performance.
He ultimately accepted her proposal, much to son Vinny’s (Bradley Johnson) dismay.
Vinny has had enough of his dad’s gambling, and he berated him once more for being unable to tell Mandy the truth.
Things got violent, as Paul lashed out at his son — beating him once again in a vicious attack.
Struggling under the weight of keeping Paul’s secret, an emotional Vinny opens up to Liv Flaherty (Isobel Steele) in tonight’s instalment — telling her all about what he’s going through.
Paul shows up just as Vinny breaks down, which leaves the older man broken.
He’s horrified over what he’s done to his son and therefore — wracked with guilt — he ultimately tells Mandy that he’s been gambling.
However, he keeps shtum about his aggression and violence.
Mandy is devastated, and kicks him out of the salon.
Is this the end for Mandy and Paul?
What’s more, will Mandy discover that Paul has physically abused Vinny?
Emmerdale continues Tuesday January 19 at 7pm on ITV.
