Halsey has welcomed their first child with screenwriter Alev Aydin, describing the birth as ‘rare’ and ‘euphoric’.
The New Americana hitmaker announced on Instagram that their little one, named Ender Ridley Aydin, arrived last week, seven months after they announced they were pregnant.
‘Gratitude,’ Halsey wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of Ender cradled in their arms. ‘For the most “rare” and euphoric birth. Powered by love.
‘Ender Ridley Aydin 7/14/2021.’
In another photo, Ender’s tiny little hand gripped onto Halsey’s.
Halsey’s post has been flooded by friends and fans sending their congratulations.
Olivia Rodrigo penned: ‘the most beautiful family! congratulations❤️❤️❤️❤️’ (sic).
Singer Maggie Lindemann added: ‘sweet little cancer baby 🥺 congratulations 🖤🖤🖤🖤.’
Last month, Halsey revealed that their little one was already a member of the BTS Army after they treated themselves to BTS’s limited edition McDonalds meal (which sadly is not available in the UK).
Halsey shared a photo of the McDonald’s paper bag with the BTS Meal branding on it, adding: ‘Baby is Army’.
Fans were over the moon that the Army is growing with the addition of Halsey’s baby, as well as the never-ending support the singer – who previously collaborated with BTS on Boy With Luv – always gives to the idols.
In March, Halsey thanked fans for their support after adding she/they pronouns to their profile on Instagram.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Halsey simply wrote: ‘thank you’ (sic) alongside a red heart emoji.
The Grammy-nominated artist proudly shared that they identify as a woman and also non-binary, a term used to describe people who feel their gender cannot be defined within the margins of the gender binary.
