Unsurprisingly, HBO has announced it has officially renewed its successful drama “Succession” for a fourth season, the order coming just two episodes into the airing of the third season.
The premiere episode of the new run on October 17th, which saw the series return after a two year hiatus, was seen by over 1.4 million viewers both on TV and the HBO Max streaming service.
That’s HBO’s best premiere numbers since “Lovecraft Country” and “Watchmen,” genre hits which tend to rate better than straight dramas like “Succession” which won Outstanding Drama Series for both 2019 and 2020.
