The Russian military invasion of Ukraine has brought a long-simmering geopolitical conflict to the forefront of the global conscience. The situation is changing practically by the minute as Russian forces move across the country, but the need for humanitarian aid is apparent as the nation faces casualties and significant property destruction.

“President Putin has chosen a premeditated war that will bring a catastrophic loss of life and human suffering,” U.S. President Joe Biden said in a February 23 speech. “Russia alone is responsible for the death and destruction this attack will bring, and the United States and its Allies and partners will respond in a united and decisive way.”

Below are organizations currently taking donations to aid the people of Ukraine, including rehabilitation for military members, psychological counseling for children, and an independent news outlet.
