Hugh Grant Joins 2020 Mockumentary Film

The flamboyant luvvie of “Paddington 2,” the duplicitous charmer of “A Very British Scandal,” the opportunistic raconteur of “The Gentlemen,” and the sociopathic prick of HBO’s “The Undoing”.

There’s no question, Hugh Grant is having a hell of a moment playing men up to no good. Now, Grant has revealed he has another project lined up and once again gets to play a wonderfully bad character.

Speaking with Vulture this week, he says he’s teaming with “Black Mirror” creator Charlie Brooker on a new project that sends up this awful year:

“I’m doing a thing tomorrow, actually. Charlie Brooker has written a mockumentary about 2020. It’s for Netflix, and I am a historian who’s being interviewed about the year. I’m pretty repellent, actually! And you’ll like my wig.”

There’s no official word on any further details about Brooker’s Netflix mockumentary yet apart from Grant’s tease today.
