Leeds United are now unlikely to sign Norwich City attacker Todd Cantwell before the close of the window, according to reports.
Cantwell made his way through the Norwich academy, having originally joined the club at U10-level.
He broke into the Canaries first team during the 2018/19 Championship season. His first goal for the club came in December 2018 in a 3-1 victory over Rotherham United.

The attacker soon became a regular for Norwich in the second half of the 2018/29 season. He made 24 league appearances as Daniel Farke’s side were promoted to the Premier League.
He carried on this momentum heading into the 2019/20 Premier League season. Norwich were relegated, but Cantwell was one of their most consistent performers all season.
The winger played in all-but-one of their Premier League games, as he scored six and assisted two for the relegated outfit.
Cantwell has been linked heavily with a top-flight return with Leeds United of late. But the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement, with the domestic window closing on October 16.
Speaking on The Phil Hay Show, The Atheltic journalist revealed that Leeds United are not desperate to sign Cantwell:
“They’ve been cool on Cantwell since the rumours came to light on the Sunday of the Sheffield United game.
“My understanding is that it’s been Cantwell’s camp and his agent who’ve been pushing this as much as Leeds have. I think that’s where a lot of the information’s coming from.
“It’s not to say, again, that they don’t like Cantwell or they don’t see the ability in him, but in the way that they were getting on with [Michael] Cuisance and the way that they were getting on with Raphinha, and I know they’ve got longer to think about Cantwell, but it hasn’t felt as if that one was really tugging at them, certainly not towards the back end of the international window.
