Moffat Joins Vaughn In Apple’s “Bad Monkey”

NBC

SNL regular Alex Moffat will recur in the “Bad Monkey” series based on Carl Hiaasen’s 2013 novel and adapted by “Ted Lasso” creator Bill Lawrence for the Apple TV+ service and Warner Bros. Television.

Vince Vaughn plays detective turned restaurant inspector Andrew Yancy in South Florida. A severed arm found by a fisherman pulls Yancy into the world of greed and corruption that decimates the land and environment in Florida and the Bahamas.

Moffat will play Evan Shook, an obnoxious real estate developer from Maryland who has bought the land next door to Yancy and is in the process of developing a hideous McMansion. Yancy makes it his mission to scuttle those plans.

Lawrence is writing and executive producing. Matt Tarses, Jeff Ingold and Marcos Siega are also executive producing.
