New Trailers: “Little Fish” & “Life in a Year”

A couple of previews for the romantics out there today.

First up, IFC Films has released the official trailer for the sci-fi romance tale “Little Fish” starring Olivia Cooke and Jack O’Connell. The story is set in a world in the midst of a pandemic of ‘NIA’, an infection that causes its victims to lose their memories.

Newlyweds Emma (Cooke) and Jude (O’Connell) find themselves in this time not long after meeting and falling in love and when Jude contracts the disease, the young couple will do anything to hold onto the memory of their love.

Penned by “The Batman” scribe Mattson Tomlin and helmed by award-winning filmmaker Chad Hartigan (“This Is Martin Bonner”), the film also stars Raul Castillo and Soko. It will arrive in theaters and On Demand on February 5th.

Also today is the official trailer for director Mitja Okorn’s romance drama “Life in a Year” starring Jaden Smith and Cara Delevingne.

The story follows 17-year-old Daryn (Jaden Smith) who finds out that his girlfriend Isabelle (Cara Delevingne) is dying. He sets out to give her an entire life in the last year she has left.

RZA, Nia Long and Cuba Gooding, Jr. co-star while Jeffrey Addis and Will Matthews pen the script. The film premieres on Amazon Prime Video on November 27th.
