Ontario issues alert notifying residents a stay-at-home order is now in effect

The Ontario government has issued an emergency alert to mobile phones notifying residents about its stay-at-home order.

The alert was sent at 10:10am ET and notifies residents that the order is now in effect.

“Only leave home for essential purposes such as food, health care, exercise or work. It is the law. Stay home, stay safe, save lives,” the alert reads.
