Paramount Delays “Rumble,” Scores Noah

Paramount Pictures and WWE Studios have delayed the animated family feature “Rumble” by nine months.

Originally set to open on May 14th this year, the movie has now been moved back to February 18th 2022 – just in time for Presidents’ Day weekend.

Will Arnett, Terry Crews, Geraldine Viswanathan, Tony Danza, Ben Schwartz, and WWE stars Becky Lynch and Roman Reigns star in the film which is set in a world where monster wrestling is a global sport and monsters are superstar athletes.

The delay comes at the same time that Paramount Animation announced the development of a currently untitled feature based on an idea from “The Daily Show” host Trevor Noah. Jonathan Groff and Jon Pollack are set to write the script and Noah will produce, but details are under wraps.
