The Duchess Of Malfi
Morfydd Clark, Sam Riley, Dominic Cooper, Freddie Fox and Frank Dillane will star in Guillem Morales’ revenge thriller “The Duchess Of Malfi”. Filming is set to start in November in Italy.

Luke Garrett has adapted the play by John Webster in a story that follows the recently widowed Duchess (Clark) who falls in love with her steward Antonio. Their union sets in motion a conflict with her cruel and vengeful brothers who enlist the spy Bosola to keep her from escaping their control. [Source: Deadline]

Jonny Greenwood
Radiohead guitarist and composer Jonny Greenwood (“Phantom Thread”) has reportedly provided the score for both Jane Campion’s “The Power of The Dog” and Pablo Larraín’s “Spencer” – both films releasing their first trailers yesterday and both getting festival debuts shortly. [Source: FMR]

Biosphere
Emmy winners Sterling K. Brown and Mark Duplass are teaming for the sci-fi feature “Biosphere” directed by newcomer Mel Eslyn. Eslyn and Duplass penned the film with the latter producing alongside Zackary Drucker. Story details are under wraps. [Source: Variety]

The Color Purple
Corey Hawkins (“In the Heights”) has reportedly joined the new film adaptation of the Broadway musical reimagining of “The Color Purple” based on Spielberg’s Oscar-nominated movie and Alice Walker’s original 1982 novel.

Marcus Gardley is writing the screenplay for the story following African American families and relationships in early 20th century Georgia. Hawkins will play Harpo and Blitz Bazawule is set to direct the film which will open December 21st 2023. [Source: Deadline]
