Squid Game
The much talked about “Squid Game” has become Netflix’s most-viewed series of all time, clocking in 1.54 billion hours of views globally within its first 28 days on the streamer.

Netflix Co-CEO and CCO Ted Sarandos has confirmed that a second season of “Squid Game” is officially on the way, promising this week on an investor call that “The Squid Game universe has just begun”. [Source: Variety]

R.I.P. Hardy Krueger
German star Hardy Krueger, who starred in such iconic films as “Hatari,” “A Bridge Too Far” and “Flight of the Phoenix,” has died. The actor, also a well-known documentary filmmaker and author, was 93. [Source: The Guardian]

Untitled Louis XV Biopic
Johnny Depp will star as long-running French king Louis XV in the next film from French helmer Maiwenn (“Mon Roi,” “Polisse”) for Why Not Productions. Title and plot specifics are under wraps, but a three month shot mainly at the Versailles Palace will take place this Summer. [Source: Variety]

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection
Sony Interactive Entertainment has released the launch trailer for the “Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection,” a remaster of both “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End” and the spin-off “Uncharted: The Lost Legacy”.

Offering full 4K/60fps takes on both games, the title comes to PS5 on January 28th. It will also be the next PS exclusive to come to PC, though a specific date hasn’t been set yet beyond sometime in 2022.
