Scott Derrickson To Direct “The Gorge”

Screen Gems

“Doctor Strange” and “Sinister” filmmaker Scott Derrickson has set up his next project, the action/romance tale “The Gorge” at Skydance.

The storyline is being kept under wraps, but it’s described as a “high-action, genre-bending love story” in which two young people who, despite the corrupt and lethal world they operate in, find a soulmate in each other during a dangerous assignment.

Zach Dean (“The Tomorrow War”) penned the script which made the 2020 Black List. Dean, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, C. Robert Cargill and Sherryl Clark are producing.

Derrickson most recently directed the Ethan Hawke-led “The Black Phone” which is scheduled to open theatrically on June 22nd.
