“South Park: Post Covid” Set For Thanksgiving

Paramount+

Paramount+ has announced a November 25th premiere date for “South Park: Post Covid,” the first of two “South Park” films due this year with the second coming sometime in December.

The films mark the first two of fourteen hourlong original movies to come from creators Trey Parker and Matt Stones following them signing a $900 million deal with ViacomCBS in August.

As part of the deal, the duo will create two original South Park films every year through 2027 to all exclusively premiere on the Paramount+ service. In addition, the main “South Park” series has also been renewed on Comedy Central through a 30th season in 2027.

Specifics of the film are under wraps beyond exploring life post-pandemic. The series has already done two episodes about the Covid-19 crisis with the first back in August 2020 scoring an Emmy nomination. The main series will return in early 2022.
