Teaser Trailer: “Obi-Wan Kenobi” Series

Lucasfilm

Hot on the heels of the first photos earlier this morning, the first trailer has arrived for Lucasfilm’s “Obi-Wan Kenobi” series coming to Disney+ on May 25th.

The story begins ten years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith” where Obi-Wan Kenobi faced his greatest defeat – the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who turned to the dark side as evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.

The series stars Ewan McGregor, reprising his role as the iconic Jedi Master, and also marks the return of Hayden Christensen in the role of Darth Vader. The latter isn’t seen in the trailer, but this does confirm the Grand Inquisitor character from the animated series makes the jump to live action with Rupert Friend in the role.

Joining the cast are Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.

The series is written by Joby Harold and directed by Deborah Chow, both of whom also serve as executive producers.
