Three More Join “Hocus Pocus” Sequel

The Disney+ streaming service has announced that the long-awaited sequel to the 1993 cult classic film “Hocus Pocus” has added three more names to its roster – “Ted Lasso” scene-stealer Hannah Waddingham, and “Veep” alums Tony Hale and Sam Richardson.

The trio will join original stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy and Doug Jones who return and are joined by Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Belissa Escobedo, Juju Brener, Froy Gutierrez, Taylor Henderson and Nina Kitchen.

A follow-up has been in development since at least 2017 with the proper sequel getting the go-ahead in 2019 and is currently shooting now. Disney+ has confirmed “Hocus Pocus 2” will score a planned Fall 2022 release.
