Sony Pictures has released only the second official photo to date from the upcoming “Uncharted” film adaptation, this one finally showing off the first glimpse at Mark Wahlberg as Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan.
The result? It’s Wahlberg looking like… Wahlberg, no sign of Sully’s signature moustache. Granted the film is set decades before the silver-haired old rascal version of Sully we know. Even so, those upset over this casting choice won’t be assuaged by this shot.
Based on Naughty Dog’s adventure video game franchise, Tom Holland stars as a younger version of Nathan Drake as he becomes the famed treasure hunter alongside mentor Victor Sullivan. The film also stars Antonio Banderas, Tati Gabrielle, and Sophia Taylor Ali as love interest Chloe Frazer.
The shot came as part of a New York Times article discussing Hollywood’s latest efforts to adapt video games onto film.
