Post-“Twilight,” actress Kristen Stewart has made a name for herself with some acclaimed performances in some great films, and strong work even in some that didn’t prove so good.

Speaking to The Times this week to promote “Spencer,” the actress revealed she’s her own harshest critic when it came to the question of how she picks which projects to do.

Stewart tells the outlet she doesn’t have a formula for her choices, rather she makes a pick and hopes for the best and a lot of the time it doesn’t quite work out:

“It’s a total crapshoot. I’ve probably made five really good films, out of 45 or 50 films? Ones that I go, ‘Wow, that person made a top-to-bottom beautiful piece of work!. I love [Olivier] Assayas’ movies. I’d have to look at my credit list. But they are few and far between. That doesn’t mean I regret the experience [of making them]. I’ve only regretted saying yes to a couple of films and not because of the result, but because it wasn’t fun. The worst is when you’re in the middle of something and know that not only is it probably going to be a bad movie, but we’re all bracing until the end.”

The quote has subsequently yielded guessing games on social media as to the film’s that would make that five she considers great movies. Assuming her two collaborations with Assayas (“Clouds of Sils Maria,” “Personal Shopper”) make the list, what would be the other three? – “Certain Women,” “Still Alice,” “Into the Wild,” “On the Road,” “Panic Room”?

Pablo Larrain’s “Spencer,” which has thrust Stewart into the Best Actress award conversation, is set to hit theaters on November 5th.
