Laysla De Oliveira (“Locke & Key,” “In the Tall Grass”) will star alongside Zoe Saldana in Taylor Sheridan’s new series “Lioness” on the Paramount+ service.
The story is based on a real-life CIA program and follows Cruz Manuelos (De Oliveira), a passionate young Marine recruited to join the CIA’s Lioness Engagement Team to help bring down a terrorist organization from within.
Saldana will play Joe, the station chief in charge of the Lioness program tasked with training, managing and leading her female undercover operatives.
Tom Brady serves as showrunner and executive produces with Sheridan, Saldana, Nicole Kidman, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari and David Hutkin. Filming is slated to begin in June.
