Disney is reportedly in early development of a live-action version of their 1970 animated feature “The Aristocats”.
The original followed a family of Parisian felines who learn they are set to inherit a fortune from their owner.
When the owner’s jealous butler kidnaps them and leaves them in the country, they team up with a smooth-talking tomcat to make it back home before it’s too late.
It’s not clear if the film will be a theatrical or streaming premiere, but is reportedly going for a look similar to the Disney+ launched “Lady and the Tramp” movie in 2019.
Will Gluck *”Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway”) and Keith Bunin (“Onward”) will pen the script for the new take, with Gluck producing.
