Former “Lost” and “The Expanse” alum Elizabeth Mitchell will reprise her role as Carol, aka Mrs. Claus, for the upcoming Disney+ limited series set in the world of “The Santa Clause” film franchise.
Tim Allen reprises his role of Scott Calvin who is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and has a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world.
With a lot of elves, children, and family to please, Scott sets out to find a suitable replacement while preparing his family for a new adventure in life south of the pole. Mitchell first appeared in the 2002 film sequel and reprised the part in the 2006 third film.
The project hails from “Last Man Standing” creator Jack Burditt, who serves as showrunner. Burditt and Allen will executive produce alongside, Kevin Hench, Richard Baker and Rick Messina.
