Viewers were left shocked watching Emmerdale tonight when evil Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) blamed herself for Theo’s kidnapping.

Well, sort of.

Yesterday’s (August 19) double episode of the ITV soap saw Meena continue to try and ruin Vic (Isabel Hodgins) and David’s (Matthew Wolfenden) friendship.

After her attempts at looking after Theo went wrong, Meena broke into Vic’s house and stole the toddler.

Kidnapping Theo, Meena happily allowed David, Vic and Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) to desperately search for the missing lad.

Tonight (August 20), heading into the shop, Meena noticed a withdrawn David.

As David admitted he was still thinking about yesterday’s events, Meena oddly admitted Theo going missing was her fault.

A confused David listened in as Meena said that if Theo hadn’t got upset when she was looking after him, Vic would’ve never had to take over, and therefore the toddler would’ve never gone missing.

Meena used this opportunity to ask David if she could spend more time with Theo.

Clearly not bothered about the young lad, viewers knew that if Meena looked after Theo, Vic wouldn’t be around as much.

Caught in Meena’s manipulative trap once more, David also headed over to Vic’s house and said that they needed to spend time away from each other after their kiss.

As David and Vic try and avoid each other, Meena has – albeit not how she planned – got what she wanted.

David and Vic have obvious chemistry, can they really avoid each other?
