The first photos have been released of “WandaVision” star Elizabeth Olsen as churchgoing suburban housewife turned ax-murderer Candy Montgomery in the upcoming true-crime miniseries “Love & Death” for HBO Max.
Currently shooting in Texas, the film will detail the events that lead to Montgomery killing her friend Betty Gore (Lily Rabe) in 1980. Jesse Plemons, Krysten Ritter, Patrick Fugit, Keir Gilchrist, Elizabeth Marvel, and Tom Pelphrey co-star.
The series is set to be written and executive produced by David E. Kelley (“Boston Legal,” “Big Little Lies”) while Lesli Linka Glatter (“Mad Men”) is set to direct. “Love & Death” is currently set to make its debut sometime in 2022.
The project is separate from another version of the story in the works at Hulu starring Jessica Biel as Candy Montgomery.
