David Gordon Green is set to direct the film “Happiest Place on Earth,” a direct-to-Disney+ movie about Walt Disney’s journey to build Disneyland.
The famed theme park opened in 1955 and is the only Disney theme park built under the supervision of Walt Disney himself.
Evan Spiliotopoulos (“Snake Eyes,” “Beauty and the Beast”) is set to write while Dana Brunetti, Matt DelPiano and Jason Reed will produce.
The announcement comes just before Gordon’s “Halloween Kills” opens in cinemas and hits Peacock day-and-date this Friday.
